My Top 12 Battlestar Galactica Characters

So I love Battlestar Galactica mad amounts. And when I sat down to make my Top 10 Battlestar Galactica characters, I kind of wound up with 12. Oops. And I couldn't tell two to scoot, so I extended my list to be Top 12.

In Reverse Order, using mostly Season 1 screencaps because I'm  lazy....

#12:

LEE "APOLLO" ADAMA
I couldn't leave him off. He, as I can recollect, only had one AMAZING scene (the speech at Gaius' trial) but he was just consistent and an interesting character.

#11:

KARL "HELO" AGATHON
Love Helo a lot, I just think he suffers a bit as he often has storylines with Athena who I like, but have major issues with. I do love his friendship with Kara and wish that was more explored. He still kicks major ass tho.

#10:

PRESIDENT LAURA "AIRLOCK" ROSLIN
Love a strong female president, and I loved that they didn't always make her likable or right.

#9

ADMIRAL WILLIAM ADAMA
An amazing leader. Again, not always likable or right and I love that.

#8:

LEOBEN CONOY
Originally, I had him as #11, but as I was going through the caps I just found him such an excellent character. So much potential, and used kind of sparingly so there was always this mystery. Loved him.

#7:

GAIUS BALTAR
Shallow, interesting, complex. Sure, his Messiah storyline was a little over the top, but he was such a memorable and interesting character.

#6:

COLONEL SAUL TIGH
One of the most interesting and complex characters on the show. You start off hating him and thinking he's a blowhard, but he winds up being the most loyal, complex asshole ever. His reveal as a Cylon (and the consequences) was just the most heartbreaking and well done on the show.

#5
:

THE SIXES
This one feels like kind of a cheat. There's HeadSix, CapricaSix, Gina, etc., etc. So many layers to this one model and she was always fascinating. What started out as a baby neck snapping hottie in a red dress turned into one of the most interesting sci-fi characters ever.

#4:

CHIEF GALEN TYROL
Here we go into my Top 4, which consists of my two OTPs. Tyrol was one of the most tragic characters on the story and I really wish he (and his soulmate) had had better endings. I love his storylines (Callie and all) and wanted more for him. Damn you RDM (this will become a recurring theme)

#3:

SAMUEL ANDERS
A late addition to the series, and I think it's a testament to what a great character he is that he kind of overtook  the Lee/Kara fans and Kara/Sam became just as (if not bigger) big as them. He was complex, interesting, extremely hot and I always wanted more.

#1A:

SHARON "BOOMER" VALERII
I say 1A, because she's kind of tied with my #1. I can't choose. Boomer is, in my mind, the most tragic character in Science Fiction. I think her character was really screwed over by creative decisions. She was someone who was good her whole life, had a switch flicked on her, was murdered, had her life stolen by a copy of her, and then somehow became a "bad guy." Even when she tried to redeem herself, she was given hell from people who forgave her copy for sometimes doing worse things. And Tyrol & Boomer was a relationship which, to me, was the heart and soul of the show, and was given a big FU by RDM. DAMN YOU RDM.

#1B:

KARA "STARBUCK" THRACE
What can I say? I love a good kickass, complicated female character and Kara is the very epitome of that. She's tough, yet vulnerable, yet doesn't like to show it. She's been involved in some of the most intense, complicated and touching storylines on the show. When RDM pretended to kill her off we were all "Yeah, no. We don't believe you" because there's no way you would kill off (during the show) such an amazing character. She rules.

Wow, talking about that kind of raises my blood pressure. LOL, I obviously still have issues with RDM.
